Rich Texts Semester 1

In Transition, Rich Texts are selected to support the understanding of concepts and skills being developed in the Science or HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences). At times, they may also connect to other areas of the curriculum,

including Technologies, Arts, Physical Education or Social and Emotional Learning. Texts are also carefully considered based on rich vocabulary, content and language structures.

All of these elements contribute to supporting students to develop background knowledge, vocabulary and comprehension. 

Students are also exposed to both fiction and non-fiction texts. 

The titles below are some of the texts that will be explored with students this semester.
